WASHINGTON (AP) — The District of Columbia is becoming the first U.S. jurisdiction to allow Internet gambling, trying to raise millions of dollars from the habits of online poker buffs and acting ahead of traditional gambling meccas like New Jersey and Nevada.
A global sports-betting company with European roots has been unanimously recommended for licensing in Nevada with final approval expected later this month.
Brittnie Watkins said at Wednesday’s Nevada Gaming Control Board meeting that the January session would be her last as a board member.
The suit claims that in addition to “severe pain and shock”, the man also “sustained a traumatic brain injury, a concussion, aggravation of his post-traumatic stress disorder and post-traumatic headaches.”
