The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Friday denied an analyst’s report that said the hotel-casino’s casino operations director had been fired.
The report titled “Changes at Cosmopolitan Already” released Friday by the Union Gaming Group was quickly called inaccurate by Cosmopolitan officials. The report was released less than a month after Deutsche Bank AG opened its $3.9 billion property.
Public relations director Amy Rossetti said the report “was not accurate” and stressed that Cosmopolitan Vice President of Casino Operations John Zaremba had not been fired.
“I confirmed (it) with John Unwin, our CEO, and it’s just not accurate,” she said.
Union Gaming issued a note saying: “We understand that Cosmopolitan has let go of its head of gaming operations believing that life-to-date the property had underheld notably.”
The note also said the change was a function of “extremely high table limits of $300,000 in conjunction with limited volume to absorb the large limits.”
