MGM Resorts names senior resident executive for the company’s China holdings

MGM Resorts International named William M. Scott IV as its senior resident executive for China.
Scott joined the company in 2009 and was promoted to executive vice president of corporate strategy and special counsel in 2010.
MGM Resorts said Scott played a key role in the company’s initial public offering last year on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Following the IPO, MGM Resorts gained 51 percent ownership in the MGM Grand Macau.
In his new position, Scott will serve as the resident director for MGM China Holdings Ltd., which operates the MGM Grand Macau. He will also serve as the resident director of Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality Ltd., the company’s joint venture with Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
