Tulsa, Okla., is the home for the nation’s seventh Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
The former Cherokee Casino Resort has completed a $155 million facelift to become the Hard Rock Tulsa, which will be unveiled Monday.

The resort is operated by Cherokee Nation Entertainment, which owns several gaming and nongaming businesses in northeastern Oklahoma, including five casinos.
The new Hard Rock Tulsa has 350 rooms, a 125,000 square foot casino with 2,300 slot machines and 70 table games, and five restaurants, including a Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar & Grill.” A 2,500-seat events center will open in 2010.
A swimming pool inspired by the Hard Rock Las Vegas opens in the fall.
The Hard Rock Tulsa is adjacent to the Cherokee Hills Golf Club, which was voted one of the top five public access courses in Oklahoma two years in a row by Golfweek magazine.
The theme change to a Hard Rock might seem surprising. As the Cherokee Casino Resort, the property became one of the most popular hotel-casinos in Oklahoma.
“This venture brings together a unique blend of Cherokee culture, Oklahoma’s rich musical history and classic rock and roll,” said Cherokee Nation Entertainment Chief Executive Officer David Stewart.
He added the Cherokee Nation was the first tribe to bring a resort-style hotel casino to Oklahoma.
“Cherokee Nation Entertainment has always been the industry leader,” Stewart said.
