Earthquake mourning delays Encore at Wynn Macau festivities

Wynn Resorts has postponed the company’s grand opening celebrations for the $650 million Encore at Wynn Macau for a day while China mourns the victims of the earthquake in the Qinghai province.
The Chinese government has set Wednesday as a national day of mourning for the earthquake victims.
A fireworks display planned for Wednesday at 8:08 p.m. (Macau time) has been postponed until Thursday at the same time.
Encore is a 400-room all-suite expansion to Wynn Las Vegas. The exact date and time for the opening Encore has not been determined.
