Allegiant Airlines ends Santa Barbara service

Allegiant Airlines is ending its service between Las Vegas and Santa Barbara, Calif., the airline announced.

“Unfortunately, due to lack of market demand, we will end our service from Santa Barbara,” Allegiant Chairman Maurice Gallagher, Jr., said in a statement.

The last day of service between the cities is Sept. 13. Customers with reservations beyond that date need to contact the airlines directly.

Allegiant Air began service between the Santa Barbara Airport and McCarran International Airport in May 2008.
