Board revokes license of Classic Fence Co.

The fencing and equipment playgrounds license for Minden-based Classic Fence Co. was revoked Thursday by the Nevada State Contractors Board.
The licensee was fined $2,850 and ordered to pay $4,234 in restitution to the homeowner, pay investigative costs and reimburse the board for money paid out of the Residential Recovery Fund.
The contractors board found the company in violation of Nevada Revised Statute 624, including, among other things, substandard workmanship, failure to include the monetary license limit and license number on a contract and failure to establish financial responsibility.
Also, the board fined Dayton Valley Floral and Nursery $1,500 for failure to comply with the terms of the construction contract. The licensee was also ordered to pay investigative costs.
Corbett Construction of Sparks was fined $3,100 and ordered to pay investigative costs and provide a current financial statement.
Sierra West Construction of Las Vegas was found in violation of NRS 624 and was ordered to pay investigative costs and $83,029 in restitution and provide a current financial statement.
