Allegiant Air plans Las Vegas service to Oakland, Kansas City

Allegiant Air will launch nonstop flights from Las Vegas to Oakland, California, and Kansas City, Missouri, beginning in October, airline officials announced Thursday.

Through Saturday, fares for one-way trips will start at $29 for flights to Oakland International Airport, while fares will start at $39 on flights Kansas City International Airport, Allegiant officials said.

The Las Vegas-based budget carrier will launch five weekly, round-trip flights between McCarran International Airport and Oakland beginning Oct. 5 on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Allegiant will launch two weekly flights between Las Vegas and Kansas City beginning Oct. 20 on Sundays and Thursdays.

“We’re excited to offer a low-cost option for Oakland and Kansas City travelers to visit Las Vegas,” Lukas Johnson, an Allegiant vice president, said in a statement. “We know folks will enjoy having an affordable nonstop option while planning their Vegas vacations”
