Volkswagen puts fun back into driving with #PinkBeetle
The 2017 Volkswagen #PinkBeetle arrived at Findlay Volkswagen in the Valley Automall a few weeks ago and it wasn’t long before the popular new model was purchased.
Only 500 hardtops and convertibles were manufactured, and dealership business manager Vanessa Scott was quick to purchase the vehicle.
The #PinkBeetle has a unique plaid interior, custom wheels, accent lighting on the speakers, LED taillights and an automatic transmission.
In addition, the #PinkBeetle has a stereo with CD, Bluetooth, navigation and a peppy 1.8-liter turbo that generates 185 horsepower while getting 24 miles to the gallon in the city and 28 on the highway.
The inclusion of the pink has brought added excitement to the vehicle
“The color definitely pulled the vehicle together,” Scott said. “They didn’t overdue it, and it’s the perfect amount of pink accent.”
“I always wanted a convertible,” said Scott, a native of Southern California and a graduate of Green Valley High School. “I wasn’t sure what kind of car I was going to get, but I purchased this one before it even got here.”
Scott said the Beetle has excellent performance and handling.
“It’s very zippy,” she said. “In addition, it’s a very quiet vehicle to drive.”
The Beetle also is an attention-getting vehicle as evidenced during a recent trip to Boulder City.
“We parked the car and had lunch,” she said. “We left the top down and everyone was looking at it. Volkswagen has put the fun back into driving with the arrival of the #PinkBeetle.”
Scott and her husband are planning a trip back to California in the #PinkBeetle.
“We will be going back to California with the top down,” she said. “There’s no question the #PinkBeetle will get looks heading down I-15.”
