Toys for Tots finds F-250 full of gifts at Friendly Ford

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve visited Friendly Ford during the annual Toys for Tots campaign, and an overflowing bright red 2016 Ford pickup was awaiting the soldiers’ arrival Dec. 15.

Now in its 14th year of helping Toys for Tots, Friendly Ford again delivered a big haul of toys thanks to the dealership employees spearheaded by customer care coordinator Geri Bich.

As is the case every year, the pickup was packed with an assortment of gifts ranging from bicycles to dolls, footballs, Hot Wheels, skateboards and soccer balls.

“I’m just excited that Friendly Ford was able to make sure that some of the children of needy families will have a memorable Christmas,” Bich said. “Everyone here teams up to make this happen each year and we’re elated to again be a part of such a heartfelt event.”

TJ McGrath, chairman of Marines-Las Vegas, said, “We can always depend on Geri and her team to fill several trucks for our campaign. Always remember our TFT’s motto: Every Child Deserves a Little Christmas.”

Toy drive campaigns are conducted annually in more than 700 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Further information can be found by visiting www.toysfortots.org. Over its life span, the Marine Toys for Tots program has distributed 491 million toys to more than 230 million less fortunate children.

Located at 660 N. Decatur Blvd., Friendly Ford has been at the same location since 1970. It is also a 17-time winner of the prestigious President’s Award, Ford’s highest single honor for customer satisfaction.
