Ram 1500 Rebel TRX concept a response to off-road truck demand

The demand for off-road trucks is continuing to rise in today’s market, and that is apparent with the latest concept unveiled at the Texas State Fair just weeks ago.

The Ram 1500 Rebel TRX cranks out 575 horsepower, which is a full 125 more than the new SVT Raptor, enough to propel the mega-sized truck to 100 mph in its off-road terrain mode.

As the Ram truck headquarters in Nevada, Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram is ready for Chrysler to see the demand and move forward with production.

“The Ram Rebel 1500 TRX would be the most powerful factory-engineered half-ton pickup ever to be made, capable of tearing up the pavement at speeds greater than 100 mph,” said Don Hamrick, general manager of Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. “This truck is an off-road machine and one we’d love to offer our customers in the near future.”

Using a link coil rear suspension system only shared with the fastest off-road trucks in desert racing, the available 4X4 performance control system will allow traction over five terrain modes. Power is transferred through an eight-speed, automatic transmission to all four wheels. The body is a full 6 inches wider than the standard 1500 with large composite fenders to cover the tires.

Chrysler is said to be researching the demand for off-road friendly vehicles to determine next steps with the Ram 1500 Rebel TRX.

As the only dedicated Ram truck dealer in Nevada, the Chapman Ram Truck Center boasts all Ram truck products under one roof. Chapman Automotive recently unveiled the Ram Truck Center as a rebranding of Chapman Value Center on 3470 Boulder Highway.

The new dealership has been renamed and renovated to better reflect its position as the only dedicated Ram truck dealer in the state. The center will continue to sell a selection of new and pre-owned vehicles, with a primary focus on Ram trucks.

Chapman Automotive, with four locations in Southern Nevada, is celebrating five decades of providing exemplary customer service, dedication to the community, with an extensive selection of new and used vehicles. Since its inception in 1966, the Chapman family, which owns and operates locations throughout Arizona and Nevada, has instilled a family-friendly environment, focusing on a “for the people” mission.
