Grand Cherokee SRT zooms into Chapman Chrysler Jeep

Chapman Chrysler Jeep welcomes the latest addition to its full lineup of Jeep Grand Cherokees — the 2017 SRT. A performance powerhouse, the newest Grand Cherokee model boasts a 475-horsepower Hemi V-8, paired with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Optimizing all systems for maximum acceleration, the V-8 allows for a zero to 60 mph speed in 4.8 seconds.

“The new 2017 Cherokee SRT is a slick vehicle, packing both speed and finesse you don’t always find in a Jeep model,” said Chapman Chrysler Jeep General Manager Gary Brewer. “With an upscale feel, the SRT has both performance and style and is the perfect vehicle for both family and fun.”

From the exterior, the SRT features a restyled front bumper that slopes upward and supports Jeep’s traditional grille. Setting the SRT apart from other Grand Cherokees in the lineup are the new LED taillights, refreshed tailgate, all black trim and five-spoke wheels.

The new eight-speed boasts downshifts and Launch Control as well as three shift modes — Drive, Sport and Eco — to offer varying shift parameters. Helping with traction, the transfer case can sense quick movement in the throttle and maximize traction before slippage occurs. The Selec-Track traction control system boasts seven modes — Custom, Auto, Sport, Track, Snow, Tow and Eco — to ensure ideal traction for any situation.

Inside, the SRT boasts Nappa leather and suede upholstered seats with carbon fiber trim and leather-wrapped door trim panels. The instrument panel and center console give the SUV an upscale feel. The latest update brought a new three-spoke steering wheel and a redesigned gauge cluster that includes a configurable 7-inch LCD screen.
