Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas Auction ongoing at Mandalay Bay

Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, is continuing its support of local and national charities during its ninth annual Las Vegas Auction, which started Thursday and continues through Sunday at Mandalay Bay. Organizations supporting United States veterans and active-duty military, youth programs, and medical research will be among those who will benefit from the generosity of Barrett-Jackson bidders and donors.

“We’ve helped raise over $90 million to date for deserving charities, and I look forward to continuing that commitment to the cause at our upcoming Las Vegas auction,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and chief executive officer of Barrett-Jackson. “It’s always amazing to see our hobby and the Barrett-Jackson family come together to support these organizations, and create a lasting impact in people’s lives.”

The first-production 2017 Shelby GTE will cross the auction block Saturday to support Grant a Gift Autism Foundation. Unique to this specific vehicle and not offered on other production cars is a custom charcoal carbon-fiber stripe packaged and powder-coated Kenne Bell Supercharger in platinum white metallic to match the car.

Benefiting Camp Southern Ground is a one-of-a-kind 2015 Ram 2500 Custom Pickup that meticulously was detailed and designed by Grammy Award-winning artist Zac Brown.

Extremely apparent in this vehicle is Brown’s passion to bring innovative, high-quality American-made products for the rugged and refined man. Some of the bespoke highlights include Mississippi Hornback alligator skin on the seats, center console and door panels, as well as the Brazilian bovine hair-on-hide floor mats and sun visor liners.

“During every auction, we get the opportunity to support many deserving organizations through the sale of these charity vehicles,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “That excitement and that emotion in the arena is something we all look forward to. We’re honored to play a role in supporting these organizations and the many people that benefit from their selfless perseverance.”

Two vehicles will cross the Las Vegas auction block to support United States veterans and active-duty military. The first is a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette CRC Conversion, selling today. This hand-built vehicle from a highly modified 2004 chassis by CRCoachworks was donated to the Carrington Charitable Foundation by its second owner to raise money for support of catastrophically wounded veterans.

The second vehicle to support America’s troops is selling Saturday and is a limited-edition Indian Chief motorcycle built to celebrate Jack Daniel’s 150th anniversary. The partnership brought together two of America’s most iconic brands that share a mutual commitment to independence, originality and American craftsmanship dating back more than a century. The sale of this motorcycle will benefit Operation Ride Home, which assists active-duty U.S. military personnel in traveling home to visit their families.

As part of the Tammy Allen Collection selling in Las Vegas will be a 1967 Chevrolet Nova Custom Hardtop, which will go to support Building Sanctuary | Rebuilding Lives, the campaign for Mind Springs Health and West Springs Hospital that provides mental health services to individuals in western Colorado. Mind Springs Health rebuilds lives and inspires hope by providing exceptional mental health and addiction recovery care, strengthening the health and vitality of our communities.
