2017 Ford Fusion V6 Sport highlighted at Friendly

The 2017 Fusion V6 Sport available at Friendly Ford comes equipped with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 that generates 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.

Sporty with paddle-shifted six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission, the vehicle features a modified sport-tuned suspension and standard intelligent all-wheel drive to produce excellent cornering and a taut ride.

In addition, the ’17 Fusion Sport has continuously controlled damping with pothole detection, a new feature that will be especially valuable in Las Vegas. The vehicle has 12 sensors in the system that read the road every 2 milliseconds.

With a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission, the front-wheel-drive Sport has impressive fuel mileage ratings of 17 city and 26 highway for a combined rating of 20 miles to the gallon.

With LED signature lighting, distinctive egg-crate grill, 19-inch premium tarnished dark-painted wheels, the Fusion VS Sport is the perfect package for many buyers.

The vehicle’s driver-assist technology comes standard with SYNC voice recognition communications and entertainment system that includes a 4.2-inch color LCD screen in center pack, 911 assist and two smart-charging USB ports.

With seating up to five, the Fusion Sport comes standard with AM/FM stereo/single CD player with MP Capability and nine speakers. Also standard is intelligent access with remote start system.

Dealership sales consultant Deryll Moore said the Fusion Sport attracts buyers for several reasons.

“The drivers who purchase the Fusion Sport are drawn to the car because of style, features, power and attitude,” Moore said. “It’s the ideal package.”

Moore said the horsepower and all-wheel drive standard feature are very strong elements including with the Fusion Sport.

“When it comes to the Fusion Sport, the standard equipment separates it from the competition,” he said. “In a nutshell, what you see is what you get and people appreciate the fact.”

Moore said the handling and performance of the Fusion Sport are second to none.

“The car has twin turbochargers in the engine department and the vehicle even has dual exhaust with bright quad tips,” he said. “It not only performs well but looks good, too.”

Situated at 660 N. Decatur Blvd., Friendly Ford has been at the same location since 1970. The dealership is also a 17-time winner of the President’s Award, Ford’s highest single honor for customer satisfaction.
