2017 Continental met with enthusiasm at Findlay Lincoln

The 2017 Lincoln Continental is now available at Findlay Lincoln in the Valley Automall, and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time. In the past month, 15 models have been purchased and the dealership has also taken orders on several additional Continentals.

For the record, the Lincoln Continental was first introduced in 1939 and was produced until 2002. The 2017 model is the 10th generation Continental and has been redesigned from the ground up.

The outstanding sales numbers at Findlay Lincoln indicate that there’s a lot of pent-up demand because of the 14 years that this model hasn’t been in production.

The 2017 Lincoln Continental has three different engines, all V-6 models with one that is naturally aspirated while the other two are turbos. Engine specifications range from the 3.7-liter with 305 horsepower all the way to the 3.0-liter twin turbo sporting 400 horsepower. The fuel mileage ranges from 19 to 26 miles per gallon.

Typically, the Lincoln Continental competes in the midsize luxury segment of the automobile market. It has been known for its extravagance, and the latest model goes a step further by adding the intuitive technology drivers crave.

The large multimedia touch screen functions in similar fashion to most smartphones. Bluetooth and hands-free controls will enable drivers to keep their attention on the road. A back-up camera and 360-degree bird’s-eye view make parking and other maneuvers easier and safer than they’ve ever been.

The Continental has long been associated with a comfortable ride. That’s been taken to a new level with soft-touch leather. The 30-way position seats can be adjusted to fit the contour of the driver’s and passenger’s bodies.

To ensure maximum comfort, heated and air-conditioned seats are available on the new Continental. Adding to the experience, drivers and passengers will enjoy their music through the 19-speaker Revel audio system. Active Noise Control and acoustic-laminated glass create a quiet, comfortable environment conducive to conversation or simple contemplation.

“This is one of the quietest in-cabin luxury rides in the automobile market,” said sales consultant Frank Luciano, who ordered a 2017 Continental that will be delivered in January. “I bought one because I love all the luxury that Lincoln brought to the table over the competition. It’s like owning an iconic masterpiece.”

He added, “The reliability factor with the vehicle is very strong. We also offer a concierge service that will pick up the car, give you a loaner and drop off your car when it’s done. The dealership details the vehicle, which looks brand new when it’s done.”

The 2017 Continental has a starting price of $45,560.
