2016 Ford Escape at Friendly sports many new features

The 2016 Ford Escape sport utility vehicle available at Friendly Ford is quickly attracting a following of customers looking for excellent fuel efficiency and an interior that has room to roam.

The 2016 Escape S model features a 2.5L I-VCT I-4 with mileage ratings of 22 city and 31 highway.

The SE has a 1.6L EcoBoost I-4 engine and is available in either front wheel drive or four wheel drive. The front wheel version gets 23 mpg city and 32 highway while the four-wheel drive is rated at 22 city and 29 highway.

The optional 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 on SE and Titanium, is also available with either front-wheel drive or four- wheel drive. The front-wheel drive version gets 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway, while the four-wheel drive version gets 21 mpg city and 28 highway.

Especially impressive is Ford’s work with the EcoBoost power plant. As the company states so well, “Without a doubt, EcoBoost technology helps produce a cooler, denser fuel-injection charge that generates more power per every drop of fuel.”

Priced from $23,100, the Escape is both economical and roomy; its versatility is highlighted by the fact that Escapes powered by the 2.0-liter EcoBoost and equipped with Class II Trailer Tow package have 3,500 pounds of towing capacity.

“People from all walks of life buy an Escape,” said dealership general sales manager Steve Crevling. “It has good fuel economy and also has great financing.”

In addition, the fact that the Escape has available seating up to five people is yet another strong selling point.

Dealership Internet sales manager Taylor Warf said several new features that have been added to the 2016 Escape is a big reason for its success.

“The additional technology that has been added to the 2016 Escape has been very well-received,” he said. “‘My Ford Touch’ has now become ‘SYNC 3,’ and it’s more user-friendly than ever. It is more intuitive and familiar to the Google generation.

“SYNC 3 can now bring the power of Apple’s Siri with just the push of a button for IPhone users. In addition, you can audibly send a text message and more. It’s an easy-to-use design that delivers our next level of connectivity to customers and their busy lives.”

Warf also said the SYNC Applink allows customers to launch and voice control many of their favorite mobile apps.

“It’s a seamless transition from a smartphone to a fully functional navigation screen.”

Friendly Ford has been at its current location of 660 N. Decatur Blvd. for more than 45 years. Further information can be found by calling the dealership at 702-870-7221 or by visiting www.friendlyfordlv.com.
