Runway take away The suede coat
March 15, 2015 - 5:00 am
Spring fashion this years has a clear 70s influence, which is strongly seen throughout magazine covers, fashion shows and store displays from Downtown Summerlin to Town Square Mall. Suede garments were brought back by designers to add an old-school look to their collections. A-line skirts, wide pants and cinched suede jackets are straight from the 70s.
Earth tones such as green, red and brown have given suede added value. Like leather, suede now transcends seasons. It is a major trend that shows how coats can be worn even in the Vegas spring. Designers such as Loewe, Chloe and Gucci each made their own suede coat version. The mid-length coat/dress, either loose or fitted, is the trendiest item. Its versatility allows you to play with your imagination and wear it in classic or edgy.
H&M, and other major fashion brands, noticed the popular item and introduced its own version. It is a mustard-toned, wide-collar dress/coat retailing at an affordable $349. It is not only trendy but versatile in color and shape. Its cinched waist and big pockets makes it functional and allows you to style it in different ways, like for lunch with friends or a night on the Strip. You can wear it as a dress or pair it up with something else underneath. Just remember to make a statement out of this classic, as it is the must-have runway take away of the season.
