Shadow Ridge High School hosting cancer walk on Saturday

If you’re looking for a cancer charity to help out on Saturday, try shadowridgecancerwalk.weebly.com, a carnival, barbecue and face-painting affair featuring local performers.

Entry to walk or run is just $5 (or $2 if you’re a wee thing age 5 to 10). The event runs 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Shadow Ridge High School, 5050 Brett Lane.

Paul Shortino of Quiet Riot will sing the National Anthem. Shortino currently is in “Raiding the Rock Vault.” He and other performers from that and other popular shows “Rock of Ages” and Sin City Sinners, will be there, along with the Shadow Ridge ROTC.
