Clinton backers pick Celine Dion
June 20, 2007 - 9:00 pm
Celine Dion‘s song “You and I” has been chosen by Hillary Clinton‘s supporters as her official campaign song.
The announcement was made Tuesday after a month-long online contest.
In a statement, the Caesars Palace headliner said she was “flattered” that fans voted for her song, which includes the words:
“You and I were meant to fly, higher than the clouds
We’ll sail across the sky, so come with me.”
According to published reports, some of the rejected entries included Elton John‘s “The Bitch is Back” and the Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil.”
