Loggins, Maher provide choices
Kenny Loggins has become a durable Las Vegas performer, and Bill Maher wants to be one.
Loggins is a frequent visitor who this time brings his mellow anthems and ’80s movie themes to the outdoor stage at the MonteLago Village Waterfront at Lake Las Vegas Resort, 30 Strada di Villagio, Henderson. Tickets are $50-$100; call 474-4000 or 795-7469.
Topical comedian Maher wraps up the last of three engagements at the Hard Rock Hotel with a 9 p.m. show today at 4455 Paradise Road. Tickets are $45.50-$75.50; call 693-5066.
The comedian wants to become a late-night option for grownups on the Strip. He says he hears people complain, “Yeah, we’d go out more, but what are we going to see? Movies are all made for teenagers who want to see (stuff) blow up.”
