Family festival set at Sunny Springs Park

A free family festival, sponsored by the city of Las Vegas’ Performing Arts Division, is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Sunny Springs Park, 7620 Golden Talon Ave.

Picnics are welcome, and there will be hot dogs, chips and soda while supplies last.

The festival will feature live entertainment and demonstrations, games and other activities for people of all ages.

Performers will include JACL Kaminari Taiko Drummers, Keiki O Mokiao Polynesian dancers, IDEA Dance Studio, Lohan School of Shaolin, Xyachimal Folkloric Ballet and Gibson Community School’s hip-hop dancers, Critical Kondition.

There will be information about the recreational and cultural programs, classes, special events and sports leagues available through the city’s schools, swimming pools, sports complexes and parks, and performing arts, community and senior centers.
