Community center plans student showcase

Children and adults who have attended classes at the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center will showcase their achievements from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The free event will enable the public to learn about the diverse classes offered at the center, 250 N. Eastern Ave.

The public can watch routines from the salsa dance, senior dance and children’s ballet folklorico classes; listen to musical performances from Miguel Curiel’s mariachi and rondalla resident groups and guitar classes; and view demonstrations by the senior chair exercise and weaving classes along with an exhibition of student artwork and class projects.
