Costco the place for ravioli
June 20, 2007 - 9:00 pm
I sure hope reader Phil Miller has a Costco membership.
It’s not that I’m shilling for Costco; it’s that Miller is looking for frozen spinach-and-cheese ravioli in nonspinach pasta, and that’s the only place readers have found it. “They come in a 3-pound, 8-ounce bag and include two packets of Italian herb/cheese topping that can be tossed with the ravioli after cooking,” e-mailed Margaret Carbaugh. “Very tasty with just olive oil and the topping, but I’m sure they would be good with a marinara sauce, too.” Costco also was suggested by Virginia Thomas, Lois Kupec and Jeana Graham. …
For the Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray soda that Miller also is seeking, Graham and Sarah Feldman suggested Harrie’s Bagelmania, 55 E. Twain Ave., and Eileen Singer suggested the kosher section of Albertsons at 2550 S. Fort Apache Road. …
And for Michael State, who is looking for “real belly lox,” Feldman also suggested Harrie’s, where she said it’s “sliced fresh in front of your eyes.”…

For Charles Achey, who is looking for fresh smelt, Jan Visser suggested the International Marketplace, 5000 S. Decatur Blvd. …
For Janet Tonelli, who is looking for Go Lightly chocolate-covered peanut-flavored hard candy, Stanette Takeuchi e-mailed that The Beef Jerky Store, 112 N. Third St., carries the Go-Lightly brand and will order that flavor. …
And for the legion of readers who are continuously looking for Canfield’s Diet Chocolate Fudge Soda, Zelma Sobel e-mailed that she recently found a couple of six-packs at Vons at 7530 W. Lake Mead Blvd. …
Reader requests: Joe Barrie would like to find Basque sauce, which he used to get at Trader Joe’s. …
Billie Gipson is looking for Schillings’ Swiss Steak mix. …
