The eastbound lane of the Warm Springs Bridge at Interstate 15 was closed Monday and through the evening after a forklift hit the side of it, authorities said.

He said the forklift struck the side of the bridge and took a “gash” out of it, so the bridge had to be closed to allow inspectors to insure that the damage was not serious.
