INTERNET ONLY: Clark tops Western in boys soccer

Howard Morales scored with three minutes to play to break a tie and give Clark a 3-2 win over host Western in boys soccer Wednesday.

Angelo Soro and Victor Solis scored the other goals for the Chargers. Jose Ponce scored twice for the Warriors, who trailed 2-0 at halftime before rallying to tie the game.

At Durango, Jason Mazzeo scored two goals to lead Spring Valley to a 3-1 win over the Trailblazers.

Bryan Scott added a goal and two assists for the Grizzlies.

At Eldorado, Rene Ardon scored three goals as the Sundevils blanked Chaparral 7-0.

Aldo Flores added a goal and three assists, and Logan Ziegler, Jonathan Lopez, and Josh Cormier each scored a goal for Eldorado. Goalie Alberto Alvarez recorded the shutout.

At Las Vegas, Joaquin Rivas and Jose Camacho each scored three goals, and goalie Braxton Boyer got the shutout as the Wildcats beat Canyon Springs 8-0.

Arturo Gallardo and Eduard Gomez each added a goal for Las Vegas.

At Kellog-Zaher Park, Sean Zaher scored in the second half to give Bishop Gorman a 1-0 win over Sierra Vista.

Jojo Vitale, who had four saves, earned the shutout. Sierra Vista goalkeeper Andrew Fontein saved 12 shots.

At Rancho, Jesus Gallegos scored in the first half, and goalie Gerardo Mendoza had the shutout as the Rams beat Desert Pines 1-0.
