Rebuilding Hope extends deadline

The Nevada State Contractors Board and Associated Builders and Contractors of Las Vegas have extended the application period for their second annual Rebuilding Hope holiday community service program until Dec. 31.

Through the program, one Southern Nevada family will have one room in its home remodeled by volunteers from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Southern Nevada with support from the Nevada State Contractors Board.

The program is limited to no more than 100 applications, which will be judged on a person’s or family’s special circumstances or needs.

Applications will be only accepted from owners who live at the residence to be remodeled. Mobile homes are not eligible.

For more information, an application and media release, visit the contractors board Web site at www.nscb.state.nv.us or call Ranya Botros at 486-1165.

The Nevada State Contractors Board has the responsibility to promote quality construction by Nevada licensed contractors through a regulatory licensing system designed to protect the health, welfare and safety of the public.

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Las Vegas promotes and protects freedom of choice in the construction industry marketplace and the right of all contractors to conduct their businesses in an environment unencumbered by conditions that could restrict an owner’s independence or impede a contract being awarded to the lowest reasonable qualified bidder.
