Saturday event features Korean foods, fashion
The Taste of Korea Korean Cooking Contest is scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Amphitheater, 500 Grand Central Parkway. Events will include cooking and tasting of Korean foods, plus a Korean fashion show, puppet show and more. Admission is free. …
“Cocktails & Coral,” the sixth annual fundraising gala by the Epicurean Charitable Foundation, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 19 at Mandalay Bay Beach, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The evening will include food from various Las Vegas restaurants as well as wine and spirits. Andre Agassi will be the honoree. Memphis chef Frank Grisanti will be guest chef at the Chef Artist Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Stan Fulton Building, 801 E. Flamingo Road. Brandon Konishi, chef/partner of Roy’s Restaurant at 8701 W. Charleston Blvd., won the Las Vegas Chefs’ Challenge — Battle: Aloha Soy Sauce on Sept. 15, and will compete in the competition’s national finals in Hawaii next month.
