Little Theatre season preview this weekend

The Las Vegas Little Theatre will present a preview of its 30th anniversary season Saturday and Sunday at 3920 Schiff Drive.

A montage of scenes from “Hot L Baltimore” by Lanford Wilson, “The Rabbit Hole” by David Lindsay-Abair, “The Heidi Chronicles” by Wendy Wasserstein, “Bleacher Bums” by Joe Mantegna and the Organic Theatre Company, “3 Days of Rain” by Richard Greenberg and “Orpheus Descending” by Tennessee Williams will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is free.

Harpist Gonzalez plays Winchester

Master harpist Mariano Gonzalez will play traditional South American music on the Paraguayan harp at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.

Gonzalez will be accompanied by jazz pianist Bob Rozario.

Gonzalez was born and raised a cowboy in Buena Vista, Paraguay. As a member of a family of harpists, he began playing at age 5 under the tutelage of his father and grandfather. After finishing his studies in 1971, he performed extensively in Europe, Japan, Argentina, Paraguay and the United States.

Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. For more information, call 455-7340.
