Arts camp to end with musical production

The West Las Vegas Arts Center’s performing and visual arts camp will culminate in a musical production, “Generation Next … Pulse, Passion and Power.”

Performances are scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 2 at the House of Blues, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and 2 p.m. Aug. 4 at the West Las Vegas Library Theatre, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd.

The eight-week summer camp offers young people, ages 10 to 15, the chance to acquire character-building skills through an arts program that includes study in dance, music, theater performance and technology, graphic design and film production.
