Rage, Daft Punk among draws next week at Vegoose

It’s the only place you’ve been able to see Beck dressed as a Boy Scout, a towering, 10-foot-high pumpkin made to look like Dick Cheney and lots of dudes playing air guitar in superhero drag.

It’s Vegoose, and it’s back.

Well, almost.

With 28 acts performing over two days, Vegoose boasts its best lineup yet this year when the fest kicks off Oct. 27 at the Star Nursery Field at Sam Boyd Stadium

Topped by reunited rap-rock firebrands Rage Against the Machine, the fest also features a rare U.S. appearance by robot-lovin’ French electronica duo Daft Punk as well as the first Vegas gig by punk legends Iggy and The Stooges, who’ll be tearing through their landmark “Funhouse” album in its entirety.

Other highlights include Sri Lankan hip-hop provocateur M.I.A., Brit guitar army Muse, indie rock favorites The Shins, head-spinning Wu-Tang Clan MC Ghostface Killah, tech-metal powerhouse Mastodon and more.

In addition to the bands, Vegoose boasts a carnival-esque vibe with dozens of food vendors, a makeup tent and poster art exhibit.

Dress up and get down.

Tickets are $79.50 per day, $146.50 for a two-day pass and are available at UNLV ticket outlets or by calling (866) 388-3267.
