Mojave boys rally to defeat Eldorado, 64-62

Darian Norris hit two technical foul shots with 30 seconds left to give Mojave a two-point lead, and the Rattlers boys basketball team rallied to defeat Eldorado 64-62 at Mojave High School on Wednesday.

The technical was whistled against the Sundevils’ bench.

Norris and Anthony Marshall each scored 19 points for Mojave, and Kevin James had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Mitrell Clark led Eldorado with 19 points.

• Bonanza 80, Silverado 78 — At Silverado, Matt Andrews hit a layup with four seconds left in overtime to lift the Bengals over the Skyhawks.

Silverado’s Ali Sabra missed a potential game-winning 3-point shot at the buzzer.

Jordan Johnson and Tomo Delp each scored 18 to lead Bonanza.

Silverado’s Wade Collie had 30 points and 12 rebounds, and Sabra had 26 points, six steals and five assists.

• Canyon Springs 72, Cheyenne 68 — At Cheyenne, Deremy Geiger scored 23 points, and the Pioneers placed four players in double figures.

Juron Criner (15), Raveon Samuel (14) and Devonte Christopher (10) also scored in double figures for Canyon Springs.

Demetric Williams scored 16 for the Desert Shields.

• Arbor View 54, Tech 51 — At Tech, Darington Banks, Brooks Robinson and James Graham each scored 15 points as the Aggies overcame a six-point deficit after three quarters to defeat the Roadrunners.

Marcus Boykin scored 15 for Tech.

• Legacy 56, Chaparral 48 — At Chaparral, Walter Chappell led all scorers with 19 points, and the Longhorns used a 12-4 second-quarter run to help defeat the Cowboys.

Tyler Bryant led Chaparral with 17 points.

• Cimarron-Memorial 68, Rancho 61 — At Rancho, Mike Cutright scored 24 points as the Spartans held off the Rams.

Perry Benson led the Rams with 23 points.

• Desert Pines 75, Shadow Ridge 59 — At Desert Pines, Owen Osazuwa had 19 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots to lead the Jaguars.

Reggie Shaw had 16 points and seven rebounds for Desert Pines.

• Del Sol 83, Western 67 — At Del Sol, Maurice Lawson scored 21 points and Joe Maglaras 18 to lead the Dragons.

Western’s Phillip Payne led all scorers with 33 points.

• Centennial 52, Las Vegas 49 — At Las Vegas, Adam Young scored 20 points to lead the Bulldogs.

Zerrick Pryor scored a game-high 23 points for the Wildcats.

GIRLS

• Mojave 72, Eldorado 58 — At Mojave, Chelsea Hopkins had 42 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Rattlers past Eldorado.

Clarissa Cannon grabbed 10 rebounds for the Rattlers. Tonisha McGee led the Sundevils with 17 points.

• Cimarron-Memorial 48, Rancho 22 — At Rancho, Catherine Wyre and Karyn Turner each scored 15 points to help the Spartans build a big lead and coast to the victory.

Precious Carroll scored 12 points for Cimarron. Shayna Porter-Banks led the Rams with 12 points.

• Bonanza 61, Silverado 40 — At Silverado, Christin Figgins scored 17 points and Terra Novak 14 to lead the Bengals.

• Legacy 64, Chaparral 30 — At Chaparral, Kindrea Poole scored 18 points and Brianna Watkins 16, and the Longhorns bolted to a 37-12 halftime lead.

• Western 68, Del Sol 29 — At Del Sol, Dareshean Lee and Shanique Harris each scored 14 points as the Warriors breezed past the Dragons.

Sasha Zaro led Del Sol with 11 points.

• Shadow Ridge 63, Desert Pines 41 — At Desert Pines, LeNette Battle had 16 points, 10 steals and eight assists to spark the Mustangs.

Cheyana Slocum scored 19 for Shadow Ridge.

• Tech 68, Arbor View 24 — At Arbor View, Mechel’la Logan scored 22 points, and the Roadrunners outscored the Aggies 32-2 in the third quarter to pull away.

Erika Lang led the Aggies with 13 points.

• Centennial 75, Las Vegas 32 — At Las Vegas, Alexis Byrd scored 18 points to help the Bulldogs defeat the Wildcats.

Deanna Daniels and Rayshawnda Gray each scored 12 for Centennial.
