Laugh it up through
funny Broadway tunes
Red Mountain Music Company, a nonprofit valleywide musical performing arts organization, will present “Comedy Tonight” on Saturday as part of its Second Saturday Concert Series.
Featuring funny Broadway tunes, the cabaret-style performances will take place at 5:30 and 7 p.m. at the Los Angeles Water and Power Building Auditorium, 600 Nevada Way in Boulder City.
The show will be directed by Jeffrey Skouson, the group’s artistic director who also is a singer, pianist and vocal instructor. On piano will be David Skouson, the company’s music director and a former Broadway conductor and pianist.
Tickets for the performances are $10 and can be purchased in advance at the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce, 465 Nevada Way, or at the door.

Explore Maori culture
at dance program
Hakatoa, an all-male traditional Maori dance group, will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday at Winchester Cultural Center as part of the World Steps dance series.
Las Vegas singer and songwriter Dane Ngahuka founded the group in 2004 to share the culture of New Zealand.
Music for the performance will be provided by the hands, feet, legs, bodies and voices of the dancers. The group is made up of performers from New Zealand and other Pacific islands.
