Image on Air: Join image every Friday morning when editor Susan Stapleton discusses the latest fashion and beauty trends with Melanie and Michael on Sunny 106.5 FM beginning at 8:30 a.m. This Friday, Stapleton joins the crew from Xtreme Disorder on X107.5 FM at the Palms while they broadcast live from Ditch Fridays. Attention Deficit Dave, Brian Black and Lemmy the Gopher will take a look at the fashions sported poolside by listeners beginning at 4 p.m.

School Daze: Galleria at Sunset will give back-to-school shoppers the star treatment with a day of fashion and extravagance throughout its 145-store shopping center. From noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 11, Galleria kicks-off back-to-school season with a full day of fashion festivities entitled “B2S= VIP.” Various fashion stations, displays and activities will be positioned throughout the mall for shoppers to check out the latest in glamour, style, sports and electronics. The event will feature a deejay, a luxurious lounge area, VIP red carpet photography complete with buzzing paparazzi, swag bags and refreshments.
Back to School: Before the new school year begins this fall, The Boulevard and Meadows Mall give students the opportunity to relax and hang out at “The Scene,”a back-to-school teen event. The program showcases fashion, entertainment and lifestyle activities for today’s trendiest teenagers. The Scene takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 11 in the east wing of The Boulevard mall, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 in the Sears Court at the Meadows Mall.
Spa Power: Kristin Williams, owner of MPower and licensed massage therapist, has opened a new MPower Spa at the retro Aruba Hotel at 1215 Las Vegas Blvd. S. MPower Spa includes three private massage rooms in its 533-square-foot space. The spa is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and offers a wide array of massage and body treatments including wraps and scrubs. According to Williams, the spa will soon offer facial treatments, manicures and pedicures and hair salon services. The spa offers a special discount to local teachers and real estate agents.
