Designers bring out the bling

An exhibit of showgirl costumes was one of the highlights of last week’s Passport to Glamour event at the Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center Las Vegas.

“Bling! An Exhibit of Iconic Showgirl Artifacts” filled the lobby of Building C of the downtown campus. The exhibit was curated by Warwick Stone, creative director and designer of the Hard Rock Hotel’s exhibit of rock ‘n’ roll costumes.

Among the pieces displayed were rare items from the European archives of Swarovski Crystal, including a bra once worn by Josephine Baker.

The day-long Passport to Glamour event offered designers and other professionals a look into the luxury market.
