2 arrested in connection to Monday shooting outside Henderson restaurant

Two people were arrested Tuesday night in connection to a double-shooting that happened Monday night outside of a Henderson restaurant.

The unnamed pair was taken into custody about 8 p.m. Monday, according to Henderson police spokeswoman Michelle French. It’s unclear where the pair was arrested or what charges they face.

The Monday shooting happened about 7:35 p.m. just east of the Black Mountain Grill at 11021 S. Eastern Ave.

A group of four people initially walked out of the Wendy’s at 1011 S. Eastern Ave. and toward the Black Mountain Grill when they were confronted by two people, French said. The group of four exchanged words with the group of two.

Moments later, French said at least one person in the group of two then opened fire on the group of four, hitting two men.

Both men shot were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center’s trauma center. One had nonlife-threatening injuries while the other suffered critical injuries. No one else was injured.

It’s unclear if the group of four and the group of two knew each other. French said Henderson Police plan to announce more details about the people arrested Wednesday.
