What: The Conservation District of Southern Nevada and the College of Southern Nevada will offer plants specifically for the Mojave area. Hummingbird and butterfly attractors as well as native Mojave plants and desert tortoise food plants will be available. All of the plant material was grown locally by college students and is drought tolerant to promote water conservation.

What: What on Earth Day. Visitors to the Springs Preserve will help celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day with a variety of free games and attractions for all ages. There will be information about how to live, work and play greener.

What: Ikenobo Ikebana Society, Nevada Chapter, flower arranging workshop. The morning session will focus on traditional shokas, while the afternoon session will be modern shokas; both styles address the beauty of line, harmony, mass, color and shape to express the arranger’s spiritual energy. Fresh flowers will be used.
