EVENTS

Wellspring Church of All Nations, 4870 Janell Drive, will celebrate its 23rd anniversary Friday through Aug. 22. Celebration services with guest speakers and pastors will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Aug. 21, and a family recognition and potluck brunch will be at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 21. On Aug. 22, celebration services with the church’s pastors, George and Sharon Stover, will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. (631-5027).

MEETINGS

The Sathya Sai Baba Devotional Singing Group meets at 5 p.m. Sundays at 1128 Triumph Court (461-8655).

The Stillpoint Center for Spiritual Development , 8072 W. Sahara Ave., will host a discussion on “The Dead Sea Scrolls” with Margaret Towne at 10 a.m. Thursday. A freewill offering will be accepted. To register, call 243-4040.

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., offers English as a Second Language classes at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays (334-2487 or 732-2052).

Singles groups

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, Temple Sinai and Congregation Ner Tamid offer a variety of programs for Jewish singles of all ages in Las Vegas and Henderson. For further information, call the Jewish Community Center at 794-0090, Temple Sinai at 254-5110 or Congregation Ner Tamid at 733-6292.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church sponsors singles groups for professionals 25 to 45 years old and a singles group for people 45 and older (228-8311, Ext. 7333 or 7334).

Single Adults Learning Together, or SALT Ministries of CornerStone Christian Fellowship, meets at 6 p.m. Saturdays at 5825 W. Eldora Ave. (871-5050).
