Police investigate discovery of man’s body near trash bin

A man’s body was discovered next to a west valley trash bin by authorities Sunday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

Lt. Ted Snodgrass said the body was found about 3:30 p.m. near 1001 S. Rainbow Blvd., which is near Charleston Boulevard.

Snodgrass said there didn’t appear to be signs of trauma on the body. The Clark County coroner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death.

The man’s identity was not released. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section was investigating the death.
