Arm injury to keep Aldo out of UFC 125

Newly rebranded UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will not make his octagon debut on the UFC 125 New Year’s Day card due to an arm injury, according to Aldo’s camp.

Aldo, the World Extreme Cagefighting featherweight champ before WEC merged with Ultimate Fighting Championship, was scheduled to defend the title for the first time against Josh Grispi on Jan. 1 at the MGM Grand Garden. Grispi will instead fight Dustin Poirier.
