Pedestrian struck on U.S. 95 identified

A man who was walking on U.S. Highway 95 who was struck by a vehicle and died last week was identified Thursday as Philip Andrew Miller IV, 35, of Las Vegas, the Clark County coroner’s office said.

The coroner’s office had not determined a cause and manner for his death Thursday.

The Nevada Highway Patrol said the incident occurred about 9:48 p.m. on Dec. 23. According to the highway patrol, Miller was walking on southbound U.S. 95, south of Boulder Highway, when a driver in a Toyota sedan struck him with his vehicle. It was unknown whether Miller was on the shoulder or in traffic lanes.

The driver of the Toyota was not arrested in connection with the incident.
