Gretchen Wilson bridges cultural divide
March 25, 2011 - 1:04 am
As a fan of both, Gretchen Wilson may be the only bridge between the band Heart and Sarah Palin.
Heart objected to the use of its "Barracuda" as a Palin theme, but Wilson will sing it for the ubiquitous politician or anyone else who wants to hear.
The 37-year-old singer came on the scene with "Redneck Woman," but "I’d Love to Be Your Last" is her latest single.
Wilson brings her rockin’ country to the Eastside Events Center at Eastside Cannery, 5255 Boulder Highway, at 9 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $46.95-$68.95; call 856-5470.
