Las Vegas police call man’s death ‘suspicious’

Las Vegas police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 41-year-old man who was reported to have suffered a drug overdose.

Police are calling the death “suspicious” because there were signs on the body that were inconsistent with a drug overdose, Lt. Dan McGrath said. Investigators were stopping short of declaring the death a homicide until medical examiners with the coroner’s office conduct an autopsy on the body.

The death was reported about 3 p.m. at a home on the 200 block of Peaceful Street, near Hollywood and Charleston boulevards. A family member called and said the man had suffered a drug overdose, McGrath said.L
