U.S. 95 near Rancho reopens after accident

Southbound U.S. Highway 95 has reopened after it was shut down at the Rancho Drive exit Thursday morning after a Nevada Highway Patrol motorcycle trooper was involved in an accident.

The trooper was transported to University Medical Center about 8 a.m. with non-life threatening injuries.

The highway was shut down as police investigated the accident and reopened about 10:30 a.m.
