Woman killed in Sunday crash identified

A 28-year-old Utah woman who died early Sunday morning after a crash on Interstate 15 near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway was identified Monday by the Clark County coroner’s office as Viridiana Sofia Larson.

The coroner’s office said Larson was from West Jordan, Utah.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash occurred about 1 a.m. on northbound I-15 near mile marker 61.

Trooper Joseph Fackrell said Larson and a man were in a Dodge sport utility vehicle that veered off the road and rolled over for unknown reasons.

Larson died at the scene, and the man was airlifted to University Medical Center.

A baby and an 8-year-old child were also in the vehicle but escaped injury.
