Charity concert scheduled to benefit vets

A charity concert to benefit deployed troops and wounded warriors will begin 9 p.m. Saturday at the Copa Room at the Bootlegger Bistro, 7700 Las Vegas Blvd., South.

Promoter Lenita Erickson said the concert, “Vegas Rocks for Soldiers,” will feature music from bassist Marco Mendoza, guitarist Phil X and the Drills, Dirty Pairadice and Mojo Rising as well as a live auction of items including guitars with at least one signed by Darius Rucker.

Admission is $20 with proceeds going toward Operation Gratitude care packages for wounded military personnel and troops serving overseas.
