Rodgers to rock Eastside Cannery
April 1, 2011 - 1:10 am
The big voice of Paul Rodgers has an even larger catalog of classic rock to cherry-pick, if you go from Free (“All Right Now”) to Bad Company (“Feel Like Makin’ Love”) to The Firm (“Radioactive”) and his odd stint as the frontman for Queen.
The 61-year-old singer rolls it all together with songs from his own solo career Saturday at the Eastside Cannery. His backing band is equally seasoned: longtime Heart guitarist Howard Leese, bassist Lynn Sorenson and Jason Bonham on drums.
While the Eastside Cannery was not previously known as a rock-star hangout, these guys have been rehearsing there this week for a U.K. tour.
Tickets are $46.95-$68.95 for the 9 p.m. Saturday show at 5255 Boulder Highway; call 856-5470.
