Award-winning lineup in town

This is the most star-crowded weekend in eons at the nightclubs and hotel pools — with scheduled appearances by Cee Lo, Rihanna, Fergie, will.i.am, Mary J. Blige and Nicki Minaj, plus superstar DJs Pete Tong and Kaskade.

Musicians are in town for Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, so some are double-dipping as official paid hosts at clubs.

FRIDAY

Fergie hosts at Aria’s club Haze. Odds are high she’ll sing some songs.

DJ Diplo, the M.I.A. collaborator, spins at Palms’ club Rain.

Nicky Hilton hosts at club Chateau in Paris.

Shwayze and Cisco rap dayside at the Palms pool.

Miss Nevada USA Sarah Chapman hosts at Wynn’s Blush nightclub.

Benny Benassi spins "Satisfaction" at Cosmopolitan’s club Marquee.

DJ Ross is at Venetian club Tao.

SATURDAY

Kaskade spins at Marquee.

Will.i.am performs as DJ at club Pure.

Mary J. Blige sings a few songs at Encore’s nightclub Surrender.

Nicki Minaj sings at Chateau.

Keri Hilson sings at Haze.

L.L. Cool J performs at Planet Hollywood’s new club Gallery.

The official Billboard Awards pre-party is at Bellagio’s club Bank.

DJs Sean Tyas and Donald Glaude spin at Rain for Paul Oakenfold’s "Perfecto" series.

Aubrey O’Day hosts at Liquid pool at Aria.

Whitney Port from "The Hills" hosts at Venetian’s Tao Beach.

Olympic speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno celebrates his birthday at club Blush on Saturday. He turns 29 on Sunday.

DJ Avicii performs "My Feelings For You" at MGM’s Wet Republic dayclub and pool party, then spins at night at Encore’s club XS.

Joe Jonas hosts a pre-Billboard Awards party at Tao.

SUNDAY

Rihanna’s post-Billboard party is at Lavo at Venetian.

Cee Lo is at Hard Rock’s Rehab by day and at club Vanity by night.

Will.i.am spins a DJ set at Wet Republic.

Pete Tong begins his "Pete’s Pool Party" residency at Encore Beach Club.

My God, the humanity.

Plus, there’s a red carpet after 1 p.m. Saturday inside Planet Hollywood for "The Hangover Part II," featuring three of the film’s co-stars — Justin Bartha, Jamie Chung and Mason Lee — plus Holly Madison’s crew, Drew Lachey, Frankie Muniz, Carrot Top and Josh Alba (Jessica’s brother).

And if you want something completely different, the annual Nevada Ballet/Cirque collaboration is at 1 p.m. Sunday at the "Viva Elvis" theater. ($20-$40). It’s usually very entertaining.
