Hornsby is known for his 1986 hit "The Way It Is." He has been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards and has won three, including Best New Artist in 1986.

Voices 3 coming to Suncoast Showroom

Bill Fayne, Teddy Davey and Chris Coyne plan to make their Las Vegas debut as Voices 3 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Suncoast Showroom, 9090 Alta Drive.

Voices 3 is a blend of musical styles, mixing everything from rock to Motown and Broadway to swing.

Variety Live to hit Starbright stage

Paul Stone plans to present "Variety Live" at 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Starbright Theatre, 2215 Thomas W. Ryan Blvd.

The cast includes magic, Vaudeville and talents such as Michael Goudeau from the Lance Burton show, Jasmine Trias from "American Idol" and British singer/songwriter Ben Stone.

Sun City Summerlin Musicmakers to present ‘They Wrote The Songs’

The Sun City Summerlin Musicmakers are set to perform "They Wrote The Songs" in May at the Starbright Theatre, 2215 Thomas W. Ryan Blvd.

The show will feature selections written by some of the 20th century’s most talented composers, including Berlin, Porter, Rodgers, Hammerstein, Gershwin and Ellington.

The performance will feature dancers, percussion and woodwind instruments.

Shows are scheduled for 7 p.m. May 6 and 7 and 2 p.m. May 8. Tickets are $8.

Sun City Dance Company to perform at Starbright theatre

Sun City Dance Company Las Vegas plans to present "Showtime 2011" at 7 p.m. May 13-14 and May 20-21, with a 2 p.m. show May 15 and 22 at the Starbright Theatre, 2215 Thomas W. Ryan Blvd.

TOUR FEATURING YouTube sensations to stop at THE PALMS on Friday

Digitour 2011, an event featuring a number of YouTube sensations, is scheduled to play at midnight Friday at The Lounge inside The Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road .

PURE ALOHA FESTIVAL COMES TO LAS VEGAS

The 10th annual Pure Aloha Festival is planned for Thursday through Sunday at the Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road.

This Hawaiian event will feature more than 100 island craft and merchandise booths, authentic food vendors and rides.

Local halau dancers and bands will provide entertainment.

Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the event gate. The discounted $5 rate is available for seniors 55 or older, those with military ID and children younger than 10.
