Valley Outreach Synagogue — P’nai Tikvah will offer its annual women’s retreat with Rabbis Yocheved Mintz and Diane Elliot from Friday through Aug. 14 in Cedar Breaks, Utah. For reservations, call 436-4900.
"Art, Pray, Shmooze — Dinner & Kabbalat Shabbat Services" will be presented by Valley Outreach Synagogue — P’nai Tikvah at 6 p.m. Aug. 19 at Dinosaurs & Roses, 6029 W. Charleston Blvd. A kosher dairy dinner will be served. Tickets are $18. For reservations, call 436-4900.
The Word Alive Church Inc., 2412 Tam Drive, will serve meals to children free of charge as part of the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be served through Aug. 27 on the following days and times: breakfast, 9-10 a.m. Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; lunch, noon-1 p.m. Sundays and Tuesdays; and supper, 5-6 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays (684-5866).
