Not-guilty plea entered in stabbing death on the Strip
A 28-year-old man accused of stabbing a man to death on a Strip walkway in July pleaded not guilty Monday to murder.
Pedro Robledo has told detectives he was acting in self-defense when he stabbed Javier Medrano-Padilla, 21, multiple times July 4, according to court documents.
Police said the stabbing happened after a gang-related fight erupted between two groups of men on the walkway between The Cosmopolitan and Planet Hollywood.
Robledo said he didn’t remember much of what happened because he blacked out from alcohol.
Robledo faces one count of murder with use of a deadly weapon with an enhancement to promote gang activity. He is being a held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center. Robledo also faces an unrelated domestic battery charge.
A trial in the murder case will be scheduled at a later date.
